What we collect
When you claim a membership we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and which membership you chose. Payment details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe, which keeps your card on file for the monthly charges you agreed to in the Membership Agreement — we never see or store your card number. One email to hello@beach111.com ends the charges.
If you claim a membership, we keep what you typed — your name, your email address, and your phone number if you gave one — together with the exact wording of the consent you agreed to and when you agreed to it. Alongside that we record the network address your browser connected from and the name it gave for itself. Those last two are not asked for on any form: they arrive with every request a browser makes, and we keep them with your claim so a disputed charge can be answered with something other than our word for it. They are stored as they arrive, not disguised.
The other forms
Besides claiming a membership, there are three places on this site where you can type something. If you leave your email address to stay in the loop, we store the address and the date. If you write to us through the contact form, we store your name, your email address, your message, and the date it arrived — we keep the message so that somebody can answer it and so the answer does not get lost.
If you ask to book the conference room, we store your name, your email address, your phone number, the day and time you asked for, what you said it was for, the date it arrived, and which version of the conference room terms you agreed to and when you agreed to it, and we note whether the address belongs to a member so that included hours can be applied. We keep it so that we can confirm the time and so the room is not booked twice. If we confirm and you pay, Stripe takes your card details on its own page; we keep the payment's identifiers, the amount, and Stripe's fee, never a card number.
An address you type into the contact form is not added to the mailing list. Writing to us is not signing up, and we do not treat it as though it were.
The form you claim a membership on has a box you can tick to be kept posted. Ticking it adds your address to that same list; leaving it alone does not, and claiming a membership never adds you on its own.
We have not set a deletion clock on any of it. Ask and we will take an address off the list or delete a message you sent us — both of those we can do, and will. A reservation would be different: it is a financial record with an audit trail beside it, and records like that are kept for as long as the tax rules require. Ask about anything we hold and we will tell you plainly what it is and why.
What we do with it
We use it to hold your place, to reach you about your membership, and for nothing else. We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone outside the people who run this space and the vendors who make it work.
Two companies handle the mail itself, because an email has to travel somehow. When you use the contact form or ask for the conference room, Resend delivers the notification to us and Fastmail hosts the mailbox it lands in, so your name, address, and message pass through both. They carry it on our behalf. Neither of them is given the mailing list.
The payment itself does not happen on this site. When you pay, we send you to Stripe's own checkout page, which is not part of this site and does not follow its rules about cookies or tracking — Stripe is the payment company, and what you type there you are typing to them. They ask for a card, and they ask again for a phone number. What comes back to us is a record that a payment succeeded and the identifiers we need to refund it. We never see or store your card number.
Counting visits
We count page views ourselves, on our own server. No analytics company is involved. One small script of our own, served from this site, sends a single note back when a page has finished loading — the page’s address and nothing else — so that a browser with a person behind it can be told apart from a program that fetched the page and left. That note carries no identifier; the server already knows which request it belongs to by the same daily code described below.
To tell one visit from ten, we take the network address your browser connected from and the name it gave for itself, mix them with a random number that changes every day, and store the result as a short code. The address itself is not written down in that log. The code cannot be read backwards without the day's random number, and because that number changes daily the same person is a different code tomorrow. We can count how many people came. We cannot follow anyone. We also record which site sent you here, if any — the site name only, never the page.

It is not a cookie and it stores nothing; it simply skips the count.
Cookies, and what your browser keeps
This site sets no cookies on a visitor, loads no advertising pixel, and runs no third-party code. If you press the sun or moon to choose light or dark, your browser remembers that choice for thirty days — in your own browser, never sent to us. Clearing your browsing data removes it. If you never press it, nothing is stored at all.
Signing in to the admin sets a cookie, but that is us, not you.
Like any web server, ours keeps ordinary request logs, which can include the network address you connected from. They are used to keep the site up and to stop abuse.
Staying in touch
You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time, by any means — reply to an email, send a text, or call. We'll honor it everywhere, not just on the channel you used.
