What is this place, exactly?
A coworking space: instead of leasing an office or working off the kitchen table, you take a membership and work from a desk in a shared room. You bring a laptop; the desk, the walls, and the conference room are here. It's for remote workers, small-business owners, and anyone whose job lives on a screen but shouldn't live at home.
Why pay for a desk when the library is free?
The library is a good library, and if it works for you, use it. This is a different thing. Your desk is yours: leave the monitor, the notebook, and the second screen set up, and they are where you left them tomorrow. Take a call without going to find somewhere to take it. Book the conference room by the hour when a client wants to sit down. And we are open 6 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week, which is a different rhythm than a building on a public schedule.
Why not just work from home?
Plenty of people do, and it costs nothing until it does. When you work where you live the day never quite ends, the dryer runs through your calls, and there is no line between the desk and the kitchen. Here you leave the house, you get the drive home, and the work stays at the work. What it costs is here.
I only need a desk a few days a month. Is this worth it?
Probably not a walled desk, and we would rather say so than sell you one. Two better answers. An open seat is the pop-in membership: the bar tops and the comfy chairs, yours whenever you want them, at the lowest price on the board. Or skip a membership and book the conference room by the hour when you need a door and a table.
Where are you?
4132 Pontoon Rd — in Pontoon Beach, two miles off I-270, about ten minutes from Granite City and fifteen from Edwardsville. The building sits just off Route 111 rather than on it. Our sign is at the road now, and the surest way is still to put the address in your maps app, which takes you to the door. The mailing address says Granite City; the building is in Pontoon Beach. Both are true.
Are you open?
Yes. The doors opened Tuesday, September 8, 2026, and the room is open 6 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week. If you would like to see it before you decide, tell us when and we will meet you there.

What comes with a membership?
Your desk, booth, or seat, the hours above, and the Wi-Fi. Desk and booth memberships include two hours a month in the conference room.
How does the conference room work?
Ten chairs and a table you can sit a customer at. Desk and booth memberships include two hours a month; past that it's $25 an hour. You do not have to be a member: ask for a time here.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes. A 2-gigabit line with a cellular backup behind it, and it comes with every membership and with the conference room, so you do not need to bring a hotspot. Bring a laptop; the rest is here.
Is there coffee?
Yes, and it's free — custom coffee, hot chocolate, or tea, for every member and every pop-in. It's a quiet place, not a spartan one.
How does billing work?
Monthly, in three-month terms.
How do I join?
On the website: pick a membership on the board, fill in a short form, agree to the Membership Agreement, and pay the first month on Stripe's own page. Come in when you like after that.
